Thursday, May 28, 2026. 5:30-7:00pm, there will be a facilitated dinner conversation with the leadership of Heartfelt Haywood. This Community Forum will focus on the vision for creating a comfortable alternative to dying at home or in a facility. Comfort Homes, a social model for providing end-of-life care, are promoted by the Omega Home Network. These are community-owned spaces where the community organizes to provide care - much as a family would - for those who do not have family caregivers, can’t afford paid caregivers, or are at risk of homelessness at the end-of-life. Team Leaders will provide an overview of the various options we might pursue as a community. Thank you for your dedication to making Haywood County a place where no one dies alone, no one grieves alone, and caregivers are supported and valued!
